Martin at Natty Web updated our website for us a year ago and all went very smoothly. The initial suggestions and quotes were all very clear. The upgraded website has a more up-to-date look and is more user friendly for the customer, without changing anything too dramatically. A user manual was supplied, but Martin is also happy to answer any questions that arise when I'm editing pages myself. Would definitely recommend.

The whole process from the initial enquiry with you, to the web site going live was very easy and painless. Within our initial meeting we received all the information necessary regarding how to start the process, the costs, the time scale and the information required to put on the site. Being able to contact you regularly and e-mail drafts etc was a huge help.
Your support initially (and after), and the lessons (we have needed a few) on how to manage the site ourselves were invaluable; we can now add newsletters, photographs and information to the site whenever required. Martin always responds to our emails promptly. I hold my hands up to being 'not tech savvy', Martin helps me to resolve any questions I may have no matter how small and helps me step by step. The guidance document is invaluable.

Girlguiding Devon needed to upgrade its website and as usual we went to Natty Web Development who always look after us so well. After going through with Martin the things that we are looking to update and upgrade in a site, he came up with a package with was both affordable and easy to use. We have now been using this for some time and it certainly does meet our expectations and of course, Martin's help and support with the site is excellent. This is very important to us as I am sure it is to everyone.
The need for an upgrade with the introduction of Backdrop CMS was identified by Natty Web Development in early 2021. Several options were considered as Martin gained experience of other upgrades and at his suggestion we agreed that Backdrop CMS would be our preferred choice. It wasn’t until January 2023 that we made a formal request for the upgrade and Martin’s proposal was accepted formally in early March. We had decided on a non-competitive tender as researched alternatives were deemed impractical and definitely uneconomic.
10 days later we “froze” the web-site, leaving it fully accessible. A development site was created within a day and a day later we were able to carry out a review. The conversion included a number of new features requested by our membership from a survey we had undertaken. We were able to identify some issues quickly – though most had already been spotted by Natty. A week after freezing the site we had completed a final review of all pages. All issues were painlessly dealt with – for example backdrop managed images in a different (but improved) way and this had created some anomalies. Sharing pages to Facebook was another challenge given some limitations Facebook had introduced on linked images, but this was quickly overcome. Before the end of March we were able to consider the development site as our new live site and switch over was completed seamlessly. We continued to update and test on the various platforms and devices our membership uses and by 4th April we considered the upgrade implemented in full. A week later, having created the necessary user guides and publicity, we were able to “launch” the site to our members and the public at large. It has been very well received.
We have been using the Backdrop site without any significant issues, other than Martin implementing a few “nice to haves” belatedly requested. We have found the new platform crisper and cleaner and still exceptionally east to use and mange. We refer to it as our Shiny New site – a very apt description. My favourite description of Martin is equally apt: Hero!
We embarked on this [upgrade to Backdrop] process after surveying our regular users. A lot of the changes we wanted to make were content based so I won't dwell on these. Our key expectation from the exercise was to deliver a website which was fit for purpose going forward, which I think we can safely say was met without strain. The actual process itself was straightforward, with posting of new content suspended for a week while the transfer was made. There were some issues with the menus identified by mobile device users shortly after launch, but these were easily rectified within a day of being found and no subsequent issues were reported. Overall, the entire process was painless and well handled by Martin and should we ever have to complete a similar exercise, I think he'd be the best man for the job.
Martin provided web development and support for our Drupal e-commerce site and he was a joy to work with - always very responsive, clear and straightforward. He helped us greatly improve our SEO through various technical improvements and has a good way of cutting through technical jargon, making it all a lot less mystifying!

Martin was excellent in the creation of our website. I particularly appreciated how responsive he was to alterations we needed, and also his support in enabling us to manage the website ourselves at the end of the process. He was clear in communicating the different options when we getting creative with design ideas, and showed us what would or wouldn't be possible with regards to things such as layout.
Martin was great to work with and provided the technical help we needed to make our website more search engine friendly. He always delivered on time with solid attention to detail, and his implementation work made a real difference to our site.
